Michael was raised in a small coastal town in West Michigan known for its strong creative community, where he developed a deep appreciation for the arts and the outdoors from a young age. His early interest in hand drawing, color, and visual composition laid the foundation for his passion for architecture and design. He went on to earn a Master of Architecture with honors from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Over the course of his career, Michael has worked in a range of highly respected, design-focused offices across the country. He began in Miami, Florida, contributing to high-end hospitality and retail projects in a fast-paced studio environment. In Austin, Texas, he joined the award-winning firm A Parallel Architecture, where he focused on custom high-end residential work and played a key role in projects featured in Architect Magazine, LUXE Interiors + Design, and Residential Design. He later worked with North House Architects in Grand Haven, Michigan, a growing firm dedicated to detail-rich, design-forward homes, further refining his craft and deepening his experience in thoughtful residential design.

In 2025, Michael launched his own practice in Austin, Texas, with over 15 years of experience in highly detail-oriented design offices. His work is grounded in a commitment to site-specific and detail-driven architecture, clear communication, and close collaboration with clients and the trades. Michael brings an approachable, down-to-earth presence to each project and is known for being a thoughtful listener who takes the time to understand his clients’ needs, lifestyles, and aspirations. He approaches each relationship with discretion and a deep respect for privacy, creating a trusted and comfortable environment that allows for open dialogue and meaningful collaboration throughout the design process.

Michael is a licensed architect in the states of Florida (AR103822) and Texas (TBAE 32568).
